Lope De Vega colt was an impressive winner on debut at the Curragh in last month before finishing second in the Chesham Stakes. Work to do in order to reverse the form with Pinatubo, however still early days and he looks well above average.

3.35 Qatar Goodwood Cup Stakes (Group 1) - 2m

Southern France - R Moore Purple, white seams, striped sleeves, purple cap

Placed in the Queen's Vase and St Leger last term and gave Stradivarius a race in the Yorkshire Cup when narrowly beaten into second. Received 3lb that day and hasn't quite been at his best in his two subsequent starts, but gives the impression that this trip is his optimum; solid each-way claims if bouncing back.

South Pacific - W Lordan Purple, white seams, striped sleeves, white cap

Progressive Galileo colt who took his form to a new level when landing the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot. New trip today and this is a much sterner test of his credentials, but receives a handy weight allowance.

Harpo Marx - A Atzeni Dark blue

One maiden win from five starts and finished midfield in the Queen's Vase six weeks ago. Requires a serious personal best in this contest and looks up against it on official ratings.

Two fair runs in Leopardstown maidens and wasn't beaten far into fourth last time out. Possibility that the penny is dropping and could benefit from a strong gallop over this trip.

Darkest - S Heffernan Dark blue

Dark Angel filly was well beaten on debut at Naas a month ago over 6f. Looked one-paced that day so worth a try over 7f and could be closer this evening if taking a step forward.

Mythic - P Beggy Orange, royal blue hoop, royal blue armlet, orange cap

Australia colt out of a Danehill mare on debut today, would have to be very straightforward to win here on debut and jockey bookings suggest she is the outsider of the Ballydoyle trio.

7.40 COLM QUINN BMW Mile Handicap - 1m 123y

Turnberry Isle - S Heffernan Royal blue, orange disc, striped sleeves & cap

Had begun to look very frustrating earlier this season and was beaten four times at handicap level. Found a new lease of life recently, winning a rated race before following up last week in a Ballinrobe handicap of 95. 5lb higher here but there could be more in the locker if he continues in fine fettle.
